Christmas Podcast featuring Snowy White

I have been included in the "Epileptic Gibbon Podcast Show" Christmas edition! It's pretty cool to be grouped in with some of the best talent on MacJams!

My song Snowy White was chosen for the show. It's a couple years old and in the days where I was just experimenting with the equipment I had so it could be better. But for what I had available to me I'm pretty proud of it.

"A Fairy Merry Christmas" Holiday Display

Finally the photos I've been so excited to see! They are posted on Kat Soto's website. I know that this fairy here is accompanied with one of my poems. "Ode to the Christmas Fairy."

DIY Photo Studio

From my MacWorld magazine I found a great article on how to make your own photo studio to practice doing product shots. I made my own and found it to work very well! You just need a box large enough for the items you wish to shoot, paper for the backdrop and lamp lighting.

Fotolia Portfolio

fotoliaWith my new Canon Rebel XTi I have been doing a lot of experimenting and learning. My main goal is to shoot stock photography. I have joined several stock photo sites already and am finding that it's not as easy as you might think. There are tests to complete and the approval process does take a while. The one thing I'm really finding helpful is when an image does get rejected they tell you why. Learning from your mistakes is the best way to get better and when you know exactly what to improve on you can work specifically on that area.
