Today I received an email saying that two of the three poems had been selected for the Shreve & Company Holiday windows! "The Frost Fairy" and "The Fairy Necklace" were chosen. The third "The Forest Fairy" did not get chosen. Instead a writer much more known and older was chosen. Robert Louis Stevenson. He was a writer in the late 1800's and to me this is a huge compliment even though my poem wasn't chosen. The fact that it was between his work and mine is amazing! Kat Soto told me "Sorry about that ‘cause I liked yours better! Well at least your competition was gold circle!!"Can you believe that?!! I'm just so inspired to write even more now! I'll keep you posted with hopefully some photos of the windows once they are up November 20th!
